Company Policies
- 1. Leave and Holidays
● You will be eligible for leaves and holidays in
accordance with the company's policy, as declared from time to time.
● The company provides casual, sick, and annual
leave, along with paid holidays, as per its established policies and procedures.
● You are entitled to 2 leaves per month, totaling
24 leaves in a financial year.
● Unused leaves will be carried forward to the
following month and can be utilized at any time.
● Taking extra leave beyond your balance will
result in a loss of pay, unless approved by your reporting manager.
● Leave must be utilized with prior approval from
your reporting manager.
● During the probation period :
○ Paid leaves cannot be taken.
○ If taken, it will be considered as a loss of
pay, but the leave will be carried forward.
● Unapproved leaves :
○ Will result in a loss of pay.
○ If a company holiday or Sunday is attached to
unapproved leave, those holidays will also be considered as a loss of pay.
● Encashment Policy:
○ You have a total of 24 leaves per year.
○ If you use no more than 10 leaves, you can
encash up to 10 leaves, while the remaining leaves will lapse.
○
Encashment is
based on your basic salary.
● Attendance & Timeliness :
○ You must update payroll after your leave
approval and ensure your team lead's approval in Perk.
○ Three late logins will result in one day's
salary deduction.
○ If you are not in the office on time, even when working remotely, you must send a message in the group. Otherwise, it will result in a loss of pay.
- 2. Probation Period
● You will be on probation for six (6) months from your date of joining,
with leave eligibility after three (3) months.
● Subject to your continued satisfactory performance, your services will be confirmed, and a confirmation letter will be issued after the probation period evaluation.
●
During your probation period, if the employer
finds your services unsatisfactory or if you are unwilling/uninterested in
continuing, both the employer and employee can mutually agree to
terminate/cancel this employment agreement by giving one month's notice in
writing from either side.
● Upon termination of employment, you must return all company property in your possession, such as laptop, charger, ID card, visiting cards, etc.
- 3. Employee of Benefits
● Provident Fund :
○ The company will contribute a monthly amount equivalent to your contribution towards the Provident Fund.
○ This includes the statutory deduction by the company towards the Employee Pension Scheme, maintained with the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner.
● Gratuity :
○ You will be entitled to receive gratuity as per the provisions of the Gratuity Act, 1972.
○ Gratuity Formula :
■ Gratuity = Last drawn salary × (15/26) × Number of years of service
● Medical Insurance :
○ The company will contribute a monthly amount along with the employee contribution, as per the ESI Act.
● Accidental Insurance :
○ You are entitled to accidental insurance coverage.
○ The annual premium for this coverage is fully contributed by the company
4. Retirement
You will automatically retire upon attaining the age of 58 years.
5. Conflict of interest
Your position with the company requires full-time employment, and you must devote your time exclusively to the company's business. You shall not take up any other work for remuneration or any other consideration, work in an advisory capacity, or be directly or indirectly involved in any other trade or business without obtaining prior written permission from the company.
6. Unauthorized Absence
● If you remain absent from work for more than five consecutive days without prior permission from your reporting manager, it will be considered as abandonment of employment, indicating that you are no longer interested in working for the company.
● In such a case, the company reserves the right to terminate your services with seven (7) days’ notice. You will not be entitled to any compensation, including benefits under the Compensation and Benefits Policy mentioned above.
7. Duties and Responsibilities
● You shall perform your duties and undertake responsibilities in accordance with the workplace and office policies of the company, as modified from time to time at the company's discretion. You shall use sincere and dedicated efforts to effectively carry out all duties and responsibilities assigned to you by your manager, supervisor, or any other authorized personnel.
● You agree that, during the term of this agreement, you shall not, without prior written consent from the company, engage in, be employed by, or be directly or indirectly involved in any other employment, business, or occupation that may conflict with your duties to the company.
8. Non-Disparagement
During your employment with the company and at all times thereafter, you shall not make any false, defamatory, or disparaging statements about the company, its employees, officers, or directors that could reasonably be expected to cause damage to any such entity or person.
9. Terms
of Termination of Employment

Upon the successful completion of your
probationary period, either party may terminate this employment by providing
one month's notice to the other. The company may, at its sole discretion, pay
salary in lieu of the notice period to terminate employment with immediate
effect.
●
The company reserves the right to terminate your
employment immediately, without notice or payment in lieu of notice, if you are
found guilty of misconduct, negligence, or any breach of the terms and
conditions of this offer.
●
Your services are transferable, and the company
may assign you to any other location at the sole discretion of the Board
Members. A prior written notice will be provided to you in this regard.
●
You are expected to perform your duties with
reasonable care and diligence and undertake all reasonable and appropriate
measures as required.
●
You must attend the office during the designated
work hours/shifts, as decided by the company from time to time, except when
traveling for official work.
10. Consequences of Termination of Employment
Upon termination of this agreement, whether by the company or by you,
you agree to return all company property in your possession as per the
company's instructions and hand over your responsibilities to the designated
representative. Failure to return company property upon termination shall be
considered a criminal breach of trust.
11. Code
of Conduct
All
employees are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct, which promotes ethical
behavior, integrity, and compliance with company policies and legal
requirements. A copy of the Code of Conduct will be provided during your
orientation.
InsuGo
Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. is committed to conducting business ethically and
lawfully. This commitment is a fundamental value upheld by the Board of
Directors, senior management, and all employees of the company.
In
line with its Values and Beliefs, InsuGo Brokers has formulated the following
Code of Conduct as a guideline and reserves the right to update it from time to
time. While the code does not attempt to cover every possible situation, it
serves as a guide for employees to take positive actions that align with the
company’s Values and Beliefs. Employees are expected to implement this code in
its true spirit and, in case of any doubt, consult their immediate superior.
Employees, including directors and senior
management, shall :
● Act honestly, diligently, and with integrity,
abiding by all applicable rules, regulations, and company policies in all
dealings.
● Not use any confidential information obtained
during their employment for personal gain or allow such information to be used
for the financial benefit of any third party.
● Not engage in any business, relationship, or
activity that may be detrimental to the company.
● Maintain the principle of “need to know” and
ensure the confidentiality of all material, non-public information about the
company.
● Not use their position or status to seek or
accept personal gains or favors from individuals or businesses that are doing
or seeking to do business with the company.
● Not accept any gifts, donations, or comparable
benefits exceeding a value of Rs. 2000/-. Gifts beyond this value must be
handed over to the company.
● Not share any company-related information
regarding its business or affairs with the media without prior management
approval.
The
Code of Conduct shall be read in conjunction with the Model Standing Orders of
labor laws. This code embodies the belief that acting in the company’s
legitimate interests and upholding its responsibilities toward stakeholders are
essential to its long-term success and excellence.

In addition to the terms and conditions outlined
above, your employment will be governed by the company's Standards of Business
Code of Conduct, as notified from time to time. Any violation of these
standards may result in immediate termination of your employment.
12. Confidentiality
and Data Protection
You are required to protect confidential information and comply with our
data protection policies, including the handling of personal data in accordance
with GDPR, HIPAA, and other applicable laws.
13. Performance
and Evaluations
Performance
evaluations will be conducted annually to assess your job performance, set
goals, and discuss career development. Feedback and coaching will be available
on an ongoing basis.
At
any time following the assessment of your periodic performance, if it is
determined that:
● You have not achieved the pre-set targets
communicated to you earlier
●
Your continued
employment is not beneficial to the company or You are found unfit or
unsuitable for service in the company
The
company reserves the right to terminate your employment by providing two
months' notice or paying two months’ gross salary in lieu thereof
14. Training
and Development
● We encourage continuous learning and
development. You will have access to various training programs, including
mandatory compliance training on topics such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and
Data Privacy.
●
If you resign
from the company within 12 months of attending any training, certification
program, conference, or seminar sponsored by the company, you will be required
to reimburse the full cost incurred by the company for such training. This
includes expenses related to travel, conveyance, boarding, lodging, and any
other associated costs.
15. Anti-Harassment
and Discrimination
●
InsuGo Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. is committed
to maintaining a work environment free from harassment and discrimination. Any
incidents should be reported immediately to HR and will be investigated
promptly and confidentially.
●
We strictly conduct POSH (Prevention of Sexual
Harassment) training to ensure a safe and respectful workplace and to create
awareness among employees.
16. Remote
Work and Flexible Work Arrangements
Subject
to management approval, employees may be eligible for remote work or flexible
work arrangements. The specific terms and conditions governing such
arrangements will be outlined in a separate agreement.
17. Advertisement
● You agree not to use the company's name, logo,
or intellectual property in any sales, marketing publications, advertisements,
or any other form without prior written consent from the company.
● If any lawsuit, claim, or legal action arises against the company as a consequence of your unauthorized actions, publications, or statements—whether in print, electronic media, or any other form—the company reserves the right to take strict and appropriate action against you. This may include, but is not limited to, the recovery of all costs, claims, damages, or other liabilities resulting from such actions.
18.General Conditions
Your working
hours, weekly offs, period of work, public holidays, and leave rules will be
governed by the rules and regulations applicable to the location or branch to
which you are assigned.
You will be
subject to all company rules and regulations currently in force, as well as any
future amendments. The company reserves the sole and absolute right to modify
any of its rules, regulations, policies, and standards at any time.
You hereby agree
to irrevocably, unconditionally, and absolutely indemnify the company against
any claims, dues, losses, or damages suffered by the company due to a violation
of any terms and conditions outlined in this letter, the Code of Conduct, or other
company policies.
19.
Resignation
If you wish to
resign, you must submit a written notice at least two (2) months in advance,
stating your intention and reason for resignation.
This notice must
be handed over to the Branch Manager where you are currently employed. If the
manager is unavailable, the notice must be sent via registered post to the
Personnel Manager or a Director at the Head Office.
The company
reserves the right to relieve you before the notice period ends, at its sole
discretion.
Failure to Provide Notice :
● If you fail to provide the required notice, the
company may deduct an amount equivalent to one (1) month’s gross salary as
liquidated damages. This deduction may be made from any salary or dues owed to
you.
20. Compliance with Service Conditions
The
general service conditions apply unless they conflict with specific written
agreements executed between you and the company.
21. Disclosure of Agency Codes
You
are strictly required to disclose any agency codes linked to you or your
immediate family members concerning any general or life insurance company.
Failure
to disclose this information will result in immediate termination of employment, with no exceptions.
22. Disclosure of Business Interests
You must inform the company if you have any investment or partnership in any other company.
